Web log analysis and statistics for Amazon S3

Web log analysis for CloudFront and Amazon S3

"As a statistics junkie, I just can't say enough good things about this product. Ever since I moved my site's images over to S3, I've felt like something was missing. Now, S3STAT has given me back my favorite obsession! Thank you!!!"

log pruning

I couldn't find this answered in the FAQs. How long should we wait to prune our log files? A day or two after the beginning of the new month?

We'll process your logs at some point between 1am and 6am PST every night. After that, we'll never crack open the previous day's logs again, so you can feel free to delete them.

To be on the safe side, you might want to allow a few days grace in there, but there's no need to wait until the end of the month.

It's worth noting, however, that S3 doesn't charge you to store those files, so unless you're particularly tidy by nature, there's no technical need to delete them.

* $5/month for sites with traffic up to 100,000 hits per day. $20/month for the rare few sites that exceed that.
