AWS credentials

Could you explain why you need the aws credentials to access my log files instead of just retrieving them if I make them publicly readable?

Sure. It's actually a bit more complicated than that, since you'd need to set up logging and permissions yourself. You'd also need to give us write permission to the output directories. But, like you say, it's certainly solvable.

This is actually something I'd love to implement, since it takes the burden of security off of us. Unfortunately, not many people are actually asking for it, so it really wouldn't be worth the development time. If you really need to use our service, I'd be willing to entertain an offer to foot the bill for development of this piece.

I'm working with Amazon's team to try & come up with a way to make the configuration process easier for the end user. If that were something that the user could simply flip a switch for, it would make the changes on the S3stat side worthwhile.

Again, I'm sorry to disappoint. I'll keep you posted with any news on this front!
