What are these User Agents?

From the Webalizer rebort:
*********************************
Top 15 of 234 Total User Agents

# Hits User Agent

1 1345 27.15% Axis/1.3
2 1327 26.79% Jakarta Commons-HttpClient/3.0
3 425 8.58% Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.

I never heard of the top two. What's up?

Robots.

You'll likely find that the hit count from that Axis agent is identical to the hit count to your (non-existant) /soap directory. So that one is likely the first step of a robot attack on your "website". Since it finds nothing, it goes away.

The other one is probably something similar, and it seems to like hitting the "homepage" of a bucket.

They're included in your report because they are in fact actual traffic hitting your site. Usually it's just noise, but for low-traffic buckets or buckets used solely to back a CloudFront distribution, they can appear prominently on your reports.
