Deleting used logs

Hi,

I just came across the s3stat offering, and for sure I'll try it.
Two questions I couldn't find answered so far:
1) is there an option to automagically delete those processed logs (or say, anything older than x days)?
2) can I configure alerts if data volume or number of hits exceed certain thresholds?

Thanks, Hans-Juergen

Glad to have you aboard. I'll take your questions in order:

1. We make a point of never deleting anything from any of your buckets. That way, you can be certain that nomatter how shabbily written our software may be, there's simply no way we can cause any actual damage to your world. Sure, in the worst case we can fail to deliver reports on time, but at least we can't accidentally delete all your stuff.

The one major downside of this policy is the one you bring up: We don't automatically delete logfiles for you. You're right that it would be easy enough to implement, but hopefully you'll understand why we don't plan to.

2. We're looking to add some extra reporting and alerting functionality beyond the simple Webalizer reports that we currently provide, so hopefully we'll be able to send you these notifications before long. In the meantime though, I guess you'll still need to check your reports from time to time.
