Upgrade of TLS version

TLS 1.2 to become the minimum TLS protocol level for all AWS API endpoints.
When did you plan an upgrade?

Indeed, every once in a while Amazon will deprecate some technology that it used to recommend.

Like the other times, we'll address this when it affects our ability to process reports. There's nothing that you need to do from your end.

While it was nice of Amazon to mail every one of our customers to tell them about its plans for us next summer, I personally would have preferred they wait until it was about to become an issue.

As it stands, we have 10 minutes of work scheduled to happen sometime in the next 18 months to bump a version number that realistically could have remained unbumped indefinitely.

We'll have the courtesy to not send any of you a panicky email when that happens.

A quick update to this: We have pushed out a new build that removes support for the old TLS versions that Amazon was so excited about in its emails to everybody.

With luck, we won't hear from them again until they decide to deprecate this version of TLS.
