Wrong stat.


I was able to connect s3stat with my S3 access log bucket. And after about 24 hours I got my stats. Great, it worked!

But when I looked at the numbers I realized that the stats are requests to the GZIP files in my bucket instead of the actual requests to my Cloudfront, which is what I really want.

Am I missing something? Do I have to decompress the GZIP files in my access log bucket first? If so, how?

Indeed, it looks like you initially had it set up to report on the bucket where your logs were delivered which, as you seem to have discovered, will only report on our traffic to retrieve those logs.

It looks like you figured this out on your own the day you asked the question and pointed us at the underlying distribution itself. Well discovered, and apologies for not being clearer in our instructions.
