S3 Console is my top browser and my own IP is my top IP
Is there a way to avoid this? I am not actually accessing the files, but I think I am inflating the stats by working/managing in my S3 buckets.

You're right that we don't do any filtering on the traffic that Amazon
reports in its logfiles, and for low-traffic endpoints that can mean
that logging traffic does in fact appear on the reports. That's a
feature request that we see from time to time, so I'll keep you posted
and let you know if we include filtering in a future release.
