s3stat report permissions

Hi Jason,

I wanted to restrict the permissions of the reports so I've changed the ACL and added bucket policies to the stats and cfstats folder. However, every day when they update, the ACL changes back to allow READ to Public.

Is there any way to fix this or to restrict the viewing of these reports?

Thanks,
Glenn

I'm afraid that's correct. Since the vast majority of users simply want to be able to view their report in a browser, we deliver reports to your bucket with permissions set for them to be publicly readable.

You can certainly mark them private again, but to do so seamlessly you'll need to have a service watching that bucket for incoming files that re-sets permissions whenever we deliver new reports.

Sorry for the inconvenience. We do get the occasional request for an option to have reports delivered with no public viewing permissions. I'll let you know if we do end up adding that option in the future.
